Veteran Japanese striker Kazuyoshi Miura is heading to Europe to continue playing after signing a fresh deal with a Portuguese club at the age of 55, with his next birthday just around the corner.
Miura has joined Portuguese second-division side Oliveirense on a loan deal until the end of the season from Japanese J-League side Yokohama FC.
The more-than-experienced pro will embark to join a team in a fifth career country having previously enjoyed successful spells in Japan, Brazil, Italy, Croatia, and Australia.
