A man has been sentenced to life imprisonment after being convicted of murder – following a detailed investigation by Dorset Police’s Major Crime Team. Mahmud Ibrahim Bakir, 29, was found guilty of stabbing 22-year-old Kewen Khorsheed along Wimborne Road in Moordown on Thursday 27 January 2011. An inquest found that Kewen, from Bournemouth, died at Royal Bournemouth Hospital from a stab wound to the chest. The jury heard that the defendant and victim were involved in a violent fight, armed with weapons including a knife, at around 2am.
