Jonathan Van Ness wants to celebrate all the things that make you uniquely you in their new children’s book, “Gorgeously Me!” Acknowledging that being true to yourself is not always easy, the “Queer Eye” star’s book aims to show young readers they are loved and cherished just the way they are.
“Everything I do is aimed at encouraging people to be authentically themselves and celebrate what makes them unique. There is enough love, success and joy to go around!” Van Ness said in a statement accompanying the announcement.

Scheduled for publication on April 30, 2024, the book includes artwork from Kamala Nair, who recently illustrated “The Way Champs Play” by Naomi Osaka. “Gorgeously Me!” will be published by Flamingo, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers.
“We are so thrilled to bring Jonathan Van Ness to the Flamingo list with such a meaningful project. ‘Gorgeously Me’ is a joyous celebration of self-love and a book that assures young readers that they are treasured and loved, just the way they are,” Cheryl Eissing, editor at Flamingo, said in a statement.
Eissing acquired World Rights with Gwen Beal and Albert Lee of United Talent Agency representing Van Ness and Aurora Barlam of Astound US Inc. representing Kamala Nair.
In addition to being a television personality, Van Ness is also a New York Times bestselling author, podcaster and hairstylist to the stars. “Gorgeously Me!” is Van Ness’ second picture book. Their first picture book, titled “Peanut Goes for the Gold,” follows the adventures of a gender nonbinary guinea pig who does everything with their own personal flare.
“I wrote this book because I want every child to know that joy is possible at every turn. If every person could believe this at the youngest age, imagine the world we could create,” Van Ness shared.
