We know what it's like when you're a beauty junkie gearing up to go on holiday. From the spray tan to the shellac nails and all the waxing, it can be expensive - but we never knew just how much.
A new survey by Transform has revealed that travellers can actually spend up to a third of their holiday budget on beauty prep before they have even left for a trip. Yep, you read that right: a THIRD.
The company discovered that the average holiday spend per person is £661 (excluding spending money) while the average holiday beauty prep costs £200. This includes diets, exercise, hair removal, skin treatments and tanning.
The findings apply to 25-34 year olds more than anyone, however 18-24 year olds (the 'Instagram generation') focus more on routines to make them look good in holiday snaps rather than slightly older travellers in that bracket who prep to feel good.
And lastly - and perhaps most interestingly - Transform's survey also discovered that more than one in five men spend money on grooming before a holiday to actually be more attractive to others, whereas this only applied to 12% of women.
Who knew we wanted to be Insta-ready at all times so much?!
