Dormy House Hotel is newly refurbished farmhouse set in the Worcestershire countryside that is, what can only be described as, one big warm hug as soon as you step through the door.

As it's national spa week, we thought we'd tell you about the latest luxury retreat that's got us wanting to up sticks and move to the Cotswolds, just to be near it.

And that's even before you step into the spa, which is beautiful. Take a gentle swim in the candlelit infinity pool or enjoy a dip in the outdoor hydrotherapy pool for the ultimate relaxing experience. Don't forget to book a treatment with one of the spa's brilliant therapists too - we would recommend one of their Marvellous Massages for an all-over pamper. Then on your way out of the spa, pop into the cosy bar (complete with warming wood burner) which has a really tasty drinks menu - we particularly enjoyed the alcohol-free Nojito.

One more cool thing to note: all the bedrooms have a tablet which basically acts as your very own butler. Whether you need breakfast in bed, a dvd to watch or fresh milk, just tap your tablet and consider it done!

We think it's totally dreamy and definitely worth splashing out on before the year is out.

Rates at Dormy House start from £230 per room, per night, based on two sharing and including breakfast.
