Britney Spears has revealed that she didn't recognise Justin Bieber when she first met him.
Despite Justin being one of the biggest popstars on the planet, the 34 year-old singer has admitted that she had no idea who he was when they had their first encounter. Britney, who shot to stardom in her teenage years just like Bieber, told BBC Radio 1 that the 22 year-old Sorry singer was "a kid" when they met. "I met him probably three years ago," she said. "He walked into my hotel room."
"Literally, he looked like he was 13-years-old but he was 16," she continued, although Bieber would have been 19 at the time. Britney also told the radio host about how confused she was to see the young star in her hotel room, saying "And I was like, 'Who is this kid in my hotel? What is going on?'". And causing even more confusing for her was Bieber's mother Pattie Mallette, who according to the Baby One More Time hitmaker was asking where there was a sunbed located, prompting Britney to ask "Who are these people?"
However, Britney admitted that she quickly warmed to the Biebs after being informed of who he was and explained that "he's very unassuming" in person.
